There's been one thing on my mind lately—gardening! It's one of my all-time favorite activities, and I'm constantly brainstorming new varieties of plants to add to my garden, landscape ideas, and new garden projects. I usually come up with more ideas than I can possibly get done in a season, and this year, I've got a few to share with you to help inspire your own creativity in your personal garden style.
Don't hesitate to infuse your garden with a bit of your personality. Consider incorporating some garden art into your plantings. Anything from sculptures, water features, arbors, and trellises to creatively repurposed pieces not originally intended for the garden. Browse thrift shops for unique finds, including small sculptures that can peek out from between the flowers. Let your imagination run wild and transform your garden into an outdoor gallery that reflects your unique personality. However, be cautious not to go overboard. In my opinion, a little goes a long way in this department. There's a fine line between garden art and garden clutter!
If you're a vegetable gardener, consider adding handmade garden markers to your vegetable garden. Not only do they help identify what you've planted, but they also add another charming element to your garden. Browse through my collection of handmade pottery garden markers here. There are many options available, including markers for weeds and ones that say "forgot" in case you've forgotten what you planted but want to add some humor to your garden. It's the small details that make all the difference!
